ABOUT
The Jordan Campus Child Care Center is a place where we will strive to provide quality care to infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children through developmentally appropriate practices in a loving environment. Through our curriculum, we will evaluate each child's individual, emotional, physical and educational needs and set goals to meet them.
Educational Philosophy

Our curriculum includes learning activities that are planned to stimulate growth in all developmental areas. Our program works closely with parents to build a foundation for a lifelong love of learning within each of our children. We believe, and studies have shown, that children learn best through active play and exploration in a safe, nurturing environment. Your child’s cognitive, language, social-emotional and fine and gross motor skills will emerge and grow at their own pace as he or she participates in a balance of child-directed and teacher-initiated activities at the Jordan Campus Child Care Center.

How we were started
Our program was founded in order to provide a quality educational experience for children of parents attending the SLCC Jordan Campus College. We created the Jordan Campus Child Care out of a desire to help parents attend school while feeling secure in the knowledge that their children were learning and growing in a safe and enriching educational setting. As our numbers grew, we wanted to extend that opportunity to the many families in the area that also need quality care for their children. We noticed that many of the childcare options in the area have extensive wait lists, were high priced or offered little more than “babysitting” services for the children without the educational component. At our center we strive to create a high quality, and low-priced option for child care, and we want to make you part of our family by encouraging participation and involvement in your child’s educational experience.
Our Staff
At the Jordan Campus Child Care Center, we have a commitment to hiring staff who are excited to continue their early childhood education knowledge through regularly attending early childhood educational courses. By making sure our staff is highly trained we are able to offer your child a high-quality education program so you can feel secure in leaving your children with us. Our teachers are passionate about getting to know each student individually. They will make sure your child is progressing through individualized learning objectives that take into consideration your child’s unique abilities and interests, and we will build educational foundations for your child in vital areas such as language and literacy, spatial relationships, science, art, music and movement. We feel we have succeeded in providing a positive educational experience when parents and teachers are working together to build your child's curiosity, develop confidence and instill a lifelong love of learning.
